Chapter Two - The Shop

The first account I ever created on paperdoll heaven, (which is now stardoll), was called Random_10. I chose it because I was ten years old at the time, and for some reason, I was obsessed with the word 'random'. I got the hang of stardoll after a short period, but there was a lot I didn't know about it ... I used to think that the 'Shop', was for merchandise. We didn't have a credit card or any way of purchasing merchandise so I didn't click it. Until one day, I accidentally clicked the link saying 'Shop'.

I was surprised. There were items to put on my avatar. Even clothes for the male avatar. I all of a sudden got excited. I never even knew what the 'stardollars' meant until now. I smiled, and got my sister to come and see my new findings.

This was before starplaza - It was just a simple and basic page where you could choose the items you want and add them to cart. You could try them on your doll, but you didn't drag, you clicked the item and it appeared on your avatar.

Chapter One - 'The Email'

So it all started in 2006. I was about ten years old when my family first got the internet. I was excited. Although it was dial-up, I was absolutely fine with it all. I remember, the first site I ever went on was the official TVNZ site. I was curious to find fun websites, so one day, I checked my mum's emails.

There it was, a promotional email from the email website my mother joined with. It had a list of fun 'kid' websites on it. I was curious, and clicked on all of them. Some where just boring old sites, and some wouldn't even load with our low speed internet. Until I found a website which caught my eye. 'Paperdoll Heaven'.

I clicked on it, and got my older sister to have a look with me. We both liked it a lot, and used it for dressing up celebrity's. About three weeks later, after using the site constantly, I decided to sign up for it. Next thing you know, I was on stardoll.
